The Berala Community Centre is now complete and operational. Constructed for Auburn City Council in under eight months, Berala Community Centre is spacious, modern and very well designed to meet the needs of the community it serves.
Perich Constructions worked hand-in-hand with Auburn City Council to create a modern Community Centre that is capable of meeting the community needs and complements the community well with its modern design. The development and progress of the project from excavation to final completion was a major achievement for the project team.
Designed by De Angelis Taylor and Associates, Berala Community Centre is ideally placed near Berala Town Centre and Berala Train Station.
The new centre will play an important role in the local community, functioning as a multipurpose venue for a range of social, cultural, educational and recreational activities. It will also provide a venue for community meetings, conferences and gatherings.
The centre was officially opened on Wednesday, 16 September 2015 by Auburn City Council Mayor Ronney Oueik. The centre is the first of its kind in Berala and will provide residents with a number of spaces to enjoy community group meetings, lifelong learning programs, fitness and dance classes, library programs and other Council services.
