Construction Started On Award-Winning Development

Construction may have just started on the Array Apartments, located in Sydney’s northern suburb of Thornleigh, but it is already collecting accolades. The much-anticipated development won an award for Best Proposed Architecture at the 2016 Sydney Design Awards and it is already being heralded as one of the suburb’s most prestigious residential developments.

            Perich Constructions commenced construction on the new development, designed by award-winning architects a+ design group, in January this year. We were awarded the $11.7 million contract thanks to our ability to work strategically with all stakeholders involved – including a+ design group, the project managers (Mainway) and the client themselves, Watson Elite – to make the client’s vision a reality. Instead of resting on the status quo, we helped devise alternative construction methods and materials to make the project financially viable for the client.

            With the soil turned and work commencing, we are excited to give this latest, and most prestigious project of ours to-date, our absolute all. We will be using our in-house structures division to provide formwork and scaffolding on the project and our in-house plant and equipment. By using our own resources we are able to better control the project and provide high-quality residences delivered to specifications and to deadline. We have also dedicated a full-time team to the project and rented an office space near the site in Thornleigh to ensure the project runs seamlessly.

            The Array Apartments are located at 27–31 Thornleigh Street and will house 29 apartments. The development has been designed in sympathy with its low-rise surroundings, with the mostly north-facing orientation drenching the apartments in natural light. The clean-lined interiors include marble benchtops and generous balconies that merge with the interior space.
